I'm interested in buying a flat oil pan for my 07 gsxr 1000. I wanna know if I need a swivel oil pick up or not for the flat oil pan. And what's the difference between the two. All help is appreciated !!!

With a flat pan yes you need a swivel.
Really only options would be to have either the swivel pickup that comes with the pan or to make/modify a stationary one.
Problem with a stationary one is you will have it either pointed to the back or front, eithr way at some point you will risk the pickup sucking air.
