This may seem like a remedial question to all of you; but I am currently an "unaffiliated" rider right now (not in a club). I know nothing about bike clubs other then what I see at parties, cookouts, bike nights, myspace pages and car washes. Believe it or not; you don't get alot of useful information through those sources. I was just wondering (for all you guys out there with colors) what is the MC scene all about? What are some of the advantages of being in one? I want to get as much info/opinions as I can.. Good and Bad. :friends: :potstir:

Being part of a club is ok as long as everybody can get along.Once something happens big or small you will start seeing people for who they really are.I helped start a club and stayed in for 10yrs and I found out that is cheaper to be a lone wolf than to run with the pack. You will get blamed for things that you didn't do and so on,just my 2c's but some people like being in a club or social group.Get with someone that is in a club and talk to them and make your own deceision.

There are good and bad as with everything else in life. Chop it up with a few around your way and get a feel for their swagger. Every club has an agenda good or bad, as in the view of society. If your entertaining being a part of one, make sure you feel you can help contribute to the overall goal. Then decide if your schedule has room for it. It can/will take up time.

Make them show you a copy of their by-laws .They should atleast have some sort of mission statement that makes sense. When I went looking I made sure the one I chose was active in the community and family based. Atleast that way I could be sure that these guys had something to lose and therefore weren't out in the streets acting like idiots. Good luck!

I'm the Pres. of INTIMIDATORS! M/C of Oxford,NC. I suggest to you first ask yourself what do I want to do in a club, help in the community or party?Once you answered that start paying attention to clubs in your area and which ones are doing the things that interest you.Bike clubs are like a relationship......GOTTA HAVE COMMUNICATION:2thumbs:

Like everyone said , make sure you know what you're getting into....some clubs are true MC'S ....and some are motor sports clubs which arent recognized by true MC's, just do your research...

Im in a racing club (Team Madness Racing) for about 13 years now and basically what we do is try to help and motivate each other every time we have a race! and whenever some one needs a lil bit of help with money we all chip in! We dont try to go and look for trouble but at the same time we aint no Pu$$ies either.
