Nos,air-shifter,& bolt on mods question for 03gsxr

Want to shave some time at drag strip So I saved up a few dollars for some mods asap!!!!

Looking for a nos system, and an air shifter, but not sure of which ones to get. Was shopping on Schnitz racing and orient express but couldn't figure out which was best... Also curious whats the best size pill to get with the NOS. Dont want to tear bike up or blow engine...Suggestions?

I've heard that keeping stock headers and using a slip on is best due to stock headers perfectly tuned. If this is true, which slip on should I get?

Also gonna buy a power commander... And want whatever other bolt-on mods are needed, so need some suggestions on those? Not sure what a tre mod does but I see a lot of people on here have them? Also heard that oem stacks from a different gsxr will work best in my 03 1k?

Dpends on how fast you wanna go,and how much you can spend at the moment....If I had the $ I would get my cylinder head done,but thats just me..but it leads to needing this and that to get the best results from having it done...do the pc or bazazz which ever you like...its a snowball effect,trust me,one piece leads to wanting or needing another...start off simple..put the bike on a diet....weight = h/p...:2thumbs:just my .02 Do you have an arm or extensions that should lower your et..lower the bike,strap the frt..those simple mods lower et some without extra h/p..I have been told nitrous requires valve springs for safe long term operation..and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE....

Like you I also have a 03 1K. Have you put in a new race filter? I have a TRE myself, I can tell she pulls alittle harder in the first three gears as well as when I roll of the throttle I don't have that abrupt front nose dive prior to installing the TRE. I do have stacks and a Yoshie TRS slipon, will be upgrading to Brocks short meg in the future. My bike is currently in the shop getting some engine work done as well as a new arm, air shifter, etc etc....I will definitley post up what she feels like once I get her back. My builder and I have talked about NOS later on, but for now I'm going to get use to how she is now.

Where do you purchase a bazazz? Do they make one for gsxr '03 1k?
Also look at RC Performance site about their power packages. You have your choice between a Akro/Tiforce/Alien Head exhaust, PC/Bazzaz, and a BMC race filter. I think this package is around $1300. If you chose the Alien Head you can then get free maps from Brocks. Just throwing this out there as well. I'm not bias to this seeing how I pieced my whole setup from different places.

put a air filter in it 750 stacks 40 pill tune it and your in the 5's:buttrock:
Which stacks from which 750?



dual nozzle dry kit,no air filter,trim to 2 long stacks short..window switch to stay out of the limiter..to mention a few..

I had a 04 and was going 9.30s with a 3" arm and a slip on pipe!! did have a airshifter power commander ect..
Dual nozzle dry kit? I'll check into that tomorrow while at work. Can you explain what u mean by " trim to 2 long stacks short..window switch"?

Instead of buying the 750 stacks,trim down your 2 long airbox stacks,there rubber and easy to do,I also radius the edges.

Once you see the 2 short ones in your airbox You will see what I mean..

Install a rpm activated switch to turn the nitrous solenoid off before the rev-limiter,if you go into the limiter on spray the fuel pump cuts off and You will burn a piston or more..

Ok,gotcha. And I'm assuming I should trim them down to match the other 2 short ones? The plan was to get the switch that turns the nos on by the throttle instead of using a button. Is this the same rpm activated switch or is there another type? If so, Can they both be used?

Talked to a friend earlier. Said he may able to get me a new Slip on for a discount... Thinking maybe the Brock short Meg....

Yes make them the same..Full pipe would be best..

I use the starter button to activate the nos and a rpm switch to turn it off so You don't go into the limiter..
