My oil pressure light wont go off (looks like an oil can). Has plenty of oil. Unscrewed oil filter and hit starter button and oil shoots out everywhere. Replaced oil pressure sensor and still wont go off. This occurred right after bike was layed down on right side at very low speed (Did not touch the motor, barely scratched the farings). Even if you start the bike and let it run a sec, it doesnt go off. What can I try?

On your bike you should have a nut on the right side you can unbolt and screw in a real oil pressure gauge.Do not take any chances.....better safe than sorry.

Drop the oil pan and clean the pickup, you might have a clogged screen.

crack the seal on the oil filter and turn the motor over until oil starts to push out around the filter and then screw the filter back on tight..clean it all up and see what you have then..sometimes when they fall over like that, the oil pump will cavitate and pump air into the system that gets trapped at the oil filter..let us know if this help or not!!:2thumbs:

make sure u didn't pull the oil pressure wire and break/cut it..replace it..if that doesn't get it, replace the sensor..let us know..

are you getting oil psi out of port where sensor goes is? if so, its prob wireing like mentioned above seeing that you changed sensor already.

Thanks for everyones help. Due to my old age and not so good vision, I finally found the nick in the wire. I must have looked at it 10 times and didnt find it until the 11th. Replaced the wire and light went away.
