Some of you may know Steven. He's the high school teenager who runs the 8.88 index class in the MIROCK Series. Steven finished in the top 10 in points in the class last season. While competing in the 5.60 index at the Rock this past sunday, lil Steven took a fall off his 2005 GSXR1000. He is ok but a little sore. Unfortunately the bike took a beating. The left side plastic is damaged bad and will need replacing. The stator cover was also cracked as well as the oil pan when the bike stood up and came down hard. Since Steven is in high school and racing on a very limited budget, his racing funds must be managed carefully. This accident could set the young man back a lot if he has to buy all of these parts out of his own pocket. Now here is where the help from the Psychobike Family kicks in; I know some of you grudge racers out there have replaced your stock plastic with extended tails, aftermarket tank sheels and upper and low fairings. I'm sure there several of you guys out there that can donate your stock plastics to Steven as sort of a sponsorship to keep this young man racing. Painter plastics would be ok if thats what you can spare.
The next bit of help we can give him is to get that same donated plastic painted at no cost to this dedicated young racer. One of you guys surely owns a paint and body shop and can paint the plastic for free as sponsorship for Steven. You might even have friend or a cousin that can do this as a favor to you at no cost. I'm sure he would have no problem if you put your shop's name somewhere on the shiny new paint.
I'm just putting this out there gentleman to see who is willing to step up and help this young man continue to live his dream. He is a good kid with a great attitude who is trying to do the right things in life. He is good student and is very mannerable. Often we complain about all the ill mannered, thuggish kids walking around with their azz hanging out smoking and drinking. Well, this kid is doing positive things and i feel as a family(of racers), we should do our very best to uplift him and guide him along the path of success. This small amount of help will allow him to continue racing without putting a burden on him and show him how much we care about the future of our kids.
You can contact Steven directly through a PM under his screename of MR660 if you can offer assistance. I've posted this without his consent or knowledge but i feel its the right thing to do.
Please help this young man out guys.
