I run them, do you ? Just makes sense to me to have em on. If other bike spins or breaks - I know to get out of it early, so I definitely wont breakout. I know a lot of guys pull them off for aerodynamics, but how much are ya REALLY saving? (for brackets I mean, of course)
That being said, I'm thinking about going with blockoffs and small bar end mirrors, because my factory mirrors are huge lol

Also depends on track tech. I just fold mine back cause i still street ride and the turn signals are in them.I dont think you need to look back that early. Some tracks say it one less thing to clean off and cut you in a event of a crash.

The win light comes on at one of the 2 tracks I run so if someone red lights. So than you know its okay to run it out like a time trail.

Bar end mirrors are awesome!!! I got a set of foldable bar end mirrors on my busa and its 1 of the best purchases I've made for my bike so far. I think they look better and because of where they are positioned they actually provide better coverage of what's behind and next to you......... No blind spots! You can go all out and get a trick set of bar end mirrors from CRG which can get a lil pricey or you can get a knock off set from ebay for around $50. Either way you can't go wrong IMO
