I have $3500 to spend and can buy everything needed to swap a stock gen2 motor in my gen1 bike or spend the money adding carillo rods and cams to go with my std bore flat top JE pistons already in my gen1 motor which also already has APE 65lb valve springs and a decent hand ported head and would possibly still have the money left to also put a lockup clutch setup in it... What to do??? Both bikes will get a decent dose of nitrous, but obviously the built std bore gen1 would take lots more nitrous. Which one should I do?

Also, how much nitrous would you spray on a std bore gen1 with carillo h beams and JE flat tops with the 65lb valve springs?

Thank you very much for your quick input, this decision needs to be made tonight, because tomorrow I will be going to pick up the gen2 stuff!!!!!!

I want into the mid 8's... Right now I am running 9.40's with 1.43-1.46 consistent 60' times with stock clutch welded up and schnitz 40lb springs running 142mph on motor, but my bike will pick up a good bit I would think once I put the cams in it and degree it correctly... My base gasket is gone and my head is milled .10 so it is definitely retarding my cam timing which is killing power im sure. I am around 225lbs suited as well, so that isn't helping much.
