Does anyone know if the 01-02 gsxr 1k seats will swap with the 03-04 ??? I want to swap a catalyst step seat from a 03-04 onto my 01. I think they are different but not sure. stock seats are the same though....right ????

Looking at the part numbers...

The 01 is p/n: 45100-35F10-R42

The 04 is p/n: 45100-18G00-6BY

Also, it looks like the 01 has a single seat (passenger and rider are one piece), whereas the 04 is a split seat (passenger and rider are separate seats).

..that pan might work..going to have to see if a buddie has that bike and try His seat before You buy the pan..

I had a 04 but not anymore..My buddie had a 02 but sold it..Sorry I cant tell you for sure..

they look close though..

The 01-02 tail has a lip around the seat area, the seat pan fits over it. The 03-04 seat is flat and will not clear the lip, I was thinking about buying the 03-04 seat and cutting the lip off but wasn't sure if the seats would fit or not so I just got the 01-02 seat pan. Hope this helps a little.
