Has anyone ever seperated there airbox to install a spray bar?

I just installed a GIXXER1300R spraybar and it went in pretty easy without seperating the airbox. Took me about 30 mins from start to finish with his directions.

used to seperate them all the time to do "large" mod. pulling the wire incased in the mold was worst part. used small torch/flat screwdriver to melt it somewhat back together, then electrical tape.
