If you change the bearings, you should just do a complete rebuild. The cases will be split anyway. If you do good maintenence on your bike, bearings can last more than 26k miles. If you have been dragracing, burning through clutches, using cheap oil filters, and changing your oil once a year, then change the bearings to be on the safe side. While you are at it, change your oilpump and piston rings as well.
