i got my K8 gsxr 1000 engine at millenium to be replated, they told me there is going to be some porosity in the cylinders (pits), am told wont hurt performance, oil burning or compression loss... i tried researching on the internet as much as possible but not many real answers..

has anyone assembled their engines with pitted cylinders and experienced performance losses, compression losses or oil burning issues?
