Top Fuel Motorcycle compete package with spares
Motorcycle was completed approximately 1990 with incredible attention to detail and machining. Bike was raced very minimal number of times before project was shelved due to owner moving away and losing pit crew. Engine based on Kawasaki cylinder spacing and is characterized by incredible machine work and innovative ideas that were far ahead of its time. Engine and chassis were designed and built to enable ease of maintenance on race day. The builder was a creative fabrication genius and it shows when you look at some of the engine features that you will not find anywhere else. Such as two piece connecting rods on a modified Kawasaki crank to allow changing of a piston or rod on race day without having to disassemble the crank. The list goes on and on with cool ideas. Between round engine changes are accomplished by quick disconnect clamps between the whipple screw blower and manifold, all drive pulleys and belts remaining on a drive plate which is splined to the engine drives. 75 minute engine changes are no problem. This really is an entire top fuel race program complete with extra sets of top fuel pistons, billet two piece rods, three billet dual plug heads ( one is a McCormack head from Elmer Trett and if you know top fuel, you know who he was) , extra blocks and cases, two speed transmission, 12 stage clutch, race trailer, maintenance stand, starting stand, start cart with a 24 volt starter from a M1 tank. The condition of the body, chassis and all components are pristine. No, the bike has no real pedigree because the builder lost his pit crew before he got a chance to work out all of the bugs. If I remember right, the best pass was low 7s in the neighborhood of 185 on a shutdown pass. Kinsler nitro mixing kit comes with the bike as well as any information I can remember about building and racing the bike.
