1000 always!

 

But why? That's the answer I'm after, I have a 08 1000 but idk if I want to turn it full grudge or build a Busa for that and leave the 1000 streetable

 

How fast do you want it to go? That's the question that will get you a answer both are good choices.

 

4.50-4.60's in the 1/8 for me! What would you do? Already have a 1000...how much would a motor cost?

In a busa with the right money you can go 7.0's 6.9
With the 1000 with the right money you can go 7.3 7.4

Rider weight and track conditions most raced in would be a factor for which combo would be best IMO. Also seems like there might be more chances for races for a 1000 if you played it right. The Busa for sure is stronger and easier to repair.

 

I heard that 1000s are hard on bearings? Is this true?

 

I would go with the 1000, now about what fuel setup is the main part, keeping fi and go with a standalone or carb it, i haven't seen to many carb 1000 so i dont know what it takes to change it over and compare graphs from fi to carb, but i am sure our PB fam can help :2thumbs:

 

Ask around to find out what is the quickest nitrous 1K. Then find out if it has carbs or it's injected and maybe you'll have your answer. For me, carbs with a Schnitz box!

That's why I said it depends on the rider weight and track condition that you'll most often be racing in.

Then on tha flip side BadAzz u wasnt stating u had carbs on that other thread u just said tha pro2 is tha better way to go. Well by me not being on tha east coast I don't kno GOW/Ellamean so I made calls and asked about tha pro2 and was told it's set up for carbs:2thumbs:Like they say u learn sumtin new every day and that pro2 is what that is IF u got CARBS so wit that saying I think u cheating cuz u got tha upper advantage over us:hysterical: and I always said I wanted to build a outlaw bike cuz thats all I seen growing up in tha drag world, and I seen how u let that ol skool Paul tree u on that big tire whats up wit thatop2:

We all can't always be perfect. Last time I checked I still sank! Paul slowed up on reaction time since he switched from a hand clutch to a slider. There is no cheating in grudge racing. Build your best combo and get in the water box is the name of the game. I also don't have the funds to have the right parts or chassis in PXM. When it comes to running a Busa powered bike in the class(apples for apples) no one else is close.

stick with the 1000.. u already started on it u should just keep it rolling

 

I think with your weight it all comes down to personal preference....throw the right amount of money into either and they will fly. Both also have a lot of used parts in the classified section. I personally like the 1ks better than the busas, but that's just my opinion. Maybe you could talk to your tuner/builder and get their opinion?

 

Yea I really like my 1000 just didn't know if the you could go further with the Busa. I'm thinkin about just doin a all motor set up
