I'm saying its personal preference. I would go with JE before Wiseco, because that's what I prefer. I would also prefer Carillo rods over K1, but they all work, some just work longer and harder.

Screw chinese stuff. Ever used chinese or taiwan tools? The metals they use are cheap and the treatment and quality control for them is typical chinese and by that i mean crap. No way I would run that in my motor if i was paying for parts to build it or not, plenty of other stuff to waste money on that wont endanger killing you when it breaks.

Personally even if they were the same quality but less expensive i would just assume give the money to american workers benefit not have to wait weeks and weeks for replacement parts if something was ordered wrong or whatever.

stay away! they are chinese made parts and there quality control is bullshit all they care about is if it looks like the part they copied thats all. stick with the known names because if you dont it will cost you more in the end to redo it all the rite way. :2thumbs:

at one time there was 2 name brand companies who uses rods from the same plant in china, get them, finish machine them and stamp their name on them. which basically means, they are the same rods lol...i never heard of k1 but a little research into the companys sources and machine practices can tell you what kind of product it is. especially if they do any destructive testing. then you KNOW what your getting.

They are owned by Dover Corp, who also owns JE and Wiseco pistons. not sure about quality. i have friends who have ran them in turbo buicks and not had any problems buy never had a set myself.

At the PRI show, almost all of the automotive rods and cranks were Chinese. Once they come into an industry, they take all of the weekend warrior racers away from Carrillo, Crower, Oliver, etc.

They are quickly turning us into a third world nation.

How so? We have seen no difference in all the years we have sold them, from back when it was Fred Carrillo running the show, until now.

They still own Formula one and NASCAR.
