OK I AM KINDA NEW TO THIS WHOLE RACING DEAL BUT NOT NEW TO THE BIKE SCENE I HAVE A 2005 ZX10R I JUST GOT. MY FRIEND GOT MAD AND THEN CALLED ME OUT TO RACE HIM THIS COMING MAY AT THE DRAG STRIP. HE WEIGHS ARUOD 220 POUNDS HE HAS A 2003 YAMAHA R1 THAT HE INTENDS ON GETTING A LITTLE EGINE WORK AND SOME SPARY ON IT. WHAT KIND OF ENGINE MODS CAN I HAVE DONE TO MY BIKE TO MAKE SURE I HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO SHUT HIM DOWN. I WIEGHT 175 POUNDS, AND RIGHT NOW I HAVE A AKRAPOVIC SLIP ON, WITH A PCIII. THE GUY WHO I BOUGHT THE BIKE OFF OF SAID HE WENT DOWN A TOOTH IN THE FRONT SPOCKET CAN ANY EXPERTS HELP ME OUT I ONLY WANNA SPEND $2,500 THANKS!!!

ok as far as the full exhaust goes,which one is a better match for my bike....BROCKS(NO SIDE WINDERS) OR AKRAPOVIC. And as far as spray i really dont want it. jus want a beefy motor that can still be my everyday bike...:buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

I had the same bike. Remove your secondary throttle plates. Install all short oem velocity stacks in the airbox. Get a bmc race air filter. Lower it, add some inches to the swingarm. Get a full exhaust system. I like brocks they make good power where u need it. Try to find a Kawasaki kit racing intake cam. Get it custom dyno tuned. Honestly I sprayed the **** outta my 10 for a long time with no problems (dry 30-shot).

Pm Garth285 on here he had the fastest 04-05 zx10 when I had mine. He'll help u out

You should be able to hand it to him when you guys finally get them lined up. for one thing those years r1's did not make the power the newer stuff is making and you weigh over 40 pounds less than he does. Besides the mods my advice would be practice alot and really learn your new setup after you get it done!!!! The rider will make the difference. Brocks gen 3 full exhaust system any of there pipes/mufflers be it alien head or megaphone or standard style will make good power, all short oem stacks, bmc race filter, pc3 usb and a good custom map from someone who knows there stuff, tell them to make two maps one for pump gas and one for mr9 (since you dont want to spray it thats the best fuel to run)have them email them to ya and download them to your laptop. if you racing use the mr9 and load that map into the pc3 if you streetriding and pumpgas use the pump gas map.(lol thats the cheapest way to do this, if you wanted to spend the money on it you could get a multfunction hub and map switch for like $180), bolt in extensions, lowering link, strap kit for front, regear it, airshifter, and run a dragtech or power one rear tire. That should be a good basic setup of components get with someone who has that exact bike for exact gearing specs I would guess -1 +5 but talk to someone who's done it. personally I would have put a small dry shot on it and not told anyone and ran line for nos solenoid and airshifter to the same bottle:potstir: but thats up to you.:2thumbs:

Google garthman racing he has YouTube videos of his 2mil overbore zx10 doing 200mph in standing mile. Also has alot of roll-on vids with him destroying newer bikes.

Also join zx10r-net. Those guys helped me alot to squeez cheap hp outta my 10. Between there & here u have tons of valuable info

lower,strap, one downin front, short valocity stacks from kaw just order the 2 outside short ones thier only about 15 bucks and you can install them in 20 min you have a big advantage wight wise you should beat him if you both have about same modes if you dont you just need to save money and get more seat time

I have a set of 4-7" Myrtle West bolt on extensions i can sell to you if you're interested. Only had them on the bike for a few months and then installed a longer arm. I also have the chain guard we extended to go with the bolt ons along with an extended brake line. You can price those bolt ons new at Schnitz and them PM me with an offer.

lol... i hate to inform all u guys but the dude that started this thread sold his bike... cause he caught wind of what i got done to my motor and what numbers its putting out and what numbers i'm running on the track... so he sold it to get him a busa cause he will need it... lol... so if someone has a busa for sale hit him up... he is trully in dire need...lol

You spraying that stock motor is gonna have you spending a whole lot more than $2,500.:2thumbs: I have a swing arm for the bike for sale. 3" to 9" fully adjustable:buttrock::buttrock:

Could you post a link to the short oem velocity stacks by chance
