The best thing to do is get him to learn to ride it just the way it sits. In my opinion if you learn to ride a stock bike to its potential you can ride just about anything. That will teach him clutch control which is one of the hardest things to learn. Once he cannot go any faster, and its likely to take him a longggggggggg time until he has pushed the bike to its potential then you can lower it and extend it, then repeat the process.:2thumbs:My son has shown a interest in learning to drag his ZX10R. He weighs 185lbs. The bike is stock other than a Scorpion slip on and a 1 tooth down counter shaft sprocket. Can someone enlighten us on setting up the bike?
How old is your son, and how long has he been riding?
