200 plus rider running in the 7's

Alright medium to big size guys and performance shops. What does it take to get a 200 plus rider in the sevens on motor and or spray. Not interested in a turbo system. Current project is a stock Gen 2 busa engine. Don't be shy about the details!!!!

I've talked to a few shops myself about this. Most of which say, 'stroke em, and spray em' :2thumbs: Of course the chassis has to be there along with the rest of the bells and whistles. Bottom line its gonna take money

7s on a bike you gonna need 350hp plus.. So all motor
Isn't going to cut it... Turbo. Will get it done with the right chAssis

Turbo is way to go with the weight, stepdad David Martin here. Was 245 fully suited. Bike weighed around 730 735 with him on it. Went 7.50's consistant 1.30 60 ft's:beer:

I'm with him......not interested in a turbo. 350plus is not a hard number to get with nitrous

safe to say!

By the looks of it, no one over 200 is running in the 7's without a turbo? Not that I dislike turbos, because I have one on one of my busa's.

I don't know where you guys get these stories from. I ran in the 7s on my grudge busa at 70". I am just over 200 suited.

I'm not going to tell all that. But it was all Hp on MR9.

I was commenting to clockwork when he said there was no one over 200 that was doing it. Yes, there are plenty of people doing it. Just gotta spend the money and have a good motor built. But no builder is going to tell you anything. You either have to spend the money with them or learn to do it yourself thru trial and error, but that can get expensive.:s24:

I have confirmation from a rider that would like to keep his name private for grudge purposes. Gen 1 busa with cut rails and lightened chassis and slider. Engine package is a 4mm bore on a factory block with a 9mm billet marine crank and race cut tranny. Now Top sercet racers is that overkill or in the range.

That's just fine as long as you have a good head and cam package. Without that, you won't get there.

:sorry: Forgot to mention it has a stock valve head with big cams from Bob Carpenter.
