Just wondering if it is true that putting a 1000 factory header and midpipe with a good slip on it is the same as a full exhaust and if so, does anyone want to share tricks and mods for an 03 GSXR 750 with that on it?

03 750 motor do the 1000 cam swap and have head ported and milled:buttrock:

I dont think the 1000 oem header is same aftermarket 750 header. And aftermarket headers from brand to brand not all the same so may be same as one aftermarket header but cant be same as all of them obviously.

1000 header pipes are just longer because the 1000 engine is longer. Thats the only difference. You can put a 1000 exhaust on a 750 but cant use a 750 on a 1000

I put a 2006 1K header and muffler on my old 2004 750. Much better pipe selection putting the 1K header on. I picked up a slip on and header from a member here for $40.

well i just got me a new exhaust from a member on here and if ur interested i have a full akrapovic exhaust tfrom a 03 750

http://www.psychobike.com/forums/asset.php?fid=64958&uid=14609&d=1292179520 this my 02 gsxr 750 with stock 1000 ti header yosh slip on. i only got ride it that day at the rock with 1000 header didnt get to spray it but it did run good on motor. unfortunately the bike 2 others, truck and trailer were stolen from hotel in rockingham that night (1st mirock race of 2004). but it will bolt up just hangs down a little more than stock 750 header.
