Turbo?? Where is my HP

Ok got my bike tuned last night and made 157 hp 89tq. Ok if its a stock bike lol. I have gsxr 1000 05bottom end 02 head. I have a thick head gasket for clearance issues. I have a T25 turbo on 9lbs of boost, walboro aftermarket fuel pump fuel pressure reg. power commander. i know i should b able to make at least 200 hp with these mods. I need help or ideas guys on what could maybe be my problem. This was on like 5 pulls this is the best #. Thanks

What did the AFR's look like? and did you have an accurate boost gauge, if its leaking boost, those numbers might be accurate

Did you dyno the bike before you put the turbo kit on, and did you degree the cams after the thicker head gasket, plus Air/Fuel on the dyno runs

The afr was 13.1. And no i did not dyno it all motor. yeah the cams did get degreed when the head gasket was put on. Its a pretty thick head gasket its like a 70 thousand (mechanics way of wording it) or sumthin.I checked for boost leaks also could not find one. But my boost gauge does not stay at 9lbs steady it fluxuates the whole time.

Soapy water is your best friend right now. T your boost gauge in under the butterfly's or before the map sensor.

Its T'd in after the butterflys. Soapy water lol to check all the vacum lines? cuz all the pipeing is together double checked them

Sounds like a boost leak to me. Also be careful with that 13.1 AFR I would try and stay around 12.7 just to keep it safe. Check and make sure there are no leaks anywhere IE. throttle bodies turbo pipes blow off valve and if that doesnt help get your cams checked out again might not be to the rite spec and be bleeding off boost.. Let us know what you come up with.

Ok im gonna check all places that there could b a boost leak and see what i get. so i guess i will get my mechanic to check the cams. sucks to take motor out again.

wastegate spring
boost leaks
plenum boots
make sure turbo compressor housing is tight
exhaust manifold leak?

thanks rat u gave me an idea i took the line off my wastegate and took it down the road and my turbo still would only boost 9lbs? It should boost way higher than that with the line off wastegate (internal)?

Well that depends on what spring is in the wastegate.

be careful without a wastgate hooked up. something is wrong, test for boost leaks, and dont tune for 13:1 afr, thats no good on a turbo bike, i'm in the mid 11s, 12 is fine too

If its an internal wastegate I would check to make sure its not stuck. It may be half open. Just enough to make hp at high rpms.

Can you post pictures of the turbo and exhaust manifold? Sometimes these guys see things that you dont. I did that once and someone else found my problem faster than I did and I was looking right at it.

Is the turbo brand new? I had one that had bent fins on the compressor side and it sounded lovely but would only make 5 lbs of boost with a 8 lb spring.

Also check your gauge. At 9lbs that thing should be running like a bat out of hell. Do you have another boost gauge you can through on it to test?

no thats the only boost gauge i have. Im gonna try to take pics when my girl gets home from work and post them. Im also not sure what spring is in it i have had a few turbo cars and i didnt know they made a spring less than 12lbs. No the turbo was used but it was in pretty good condition did not really have shaft play at all. Thats what i was thinkin at 9lbs should run waaay better than that. im thinkin about just getting another turbo because i dont think that wastegate is interchangeble and that seems like where the problem is.
