Re: turbo to tire clearance
Are u running offset clamps, I have a .500 offset clamps i can't even fit a 17" i have 16" it also depends the header u are using. I have .750 clearence between tire and turbo and even had to grind the compresor housing a little

Re: turbo to tire clearance
the main thing you need to look at is how much cleaqrance you have once you forks are compressed.

i have compressed the forks as far as i could using tiedown straps on my table lift and actually gained some clearance. the center of the tire went above the turbo and gave some clearance

Re: turbo to tire clearance
Actually I tried the same thing and had about the same in clearance but I didn't want to take the chance in wiping out during braking. There are some that do use the 17 inch wheel but I didn't like it. I went to a 16 honda cbr wheel, and a low profile tire. I just feel safer that way. Ronnie use 17 inch wheels on his ps bikes all the time. So I guess if your doing it right than it safe. I did look at his at the trake one day and he had about a 1inch of clearance.

Yes it is .That is why in a 17 inch on pst you only see the michelin power pure or pilot power
