odd tuning ?

This is a discussion about odd tuning ? within the Turbo Nitrous section, where you will Drag Racers sharing info on Turbo and Nitrous applications; has anyone heard of tuning a bike on a lower octane fuel to maximize the performance of running 95 or higher on the street. i have hear of this a few times now and was

    has anyone heard of tuning a bike on a lower octane fuel to maximize the performance of running 95 or higher on the street. i have hear of this a few times now and was wondering if it was true. i an boosting an 06 zx10 and hope to be running some bigger numbers next year. what do you guys think?

    As soon as boost is mentioned go straight to the best fuel you can afford.
    i have heard often of guys (NA) running the lowest octane to try and get a extra hp or 2 out of better combustion but i am skeptical of this too,
    if you check data sheets of your fuel you will see the BTU value of the fuel your using, as far as i'm concerned this is the measure of how much hp the fuel is good for and 2 fuels of similar value will yeild similar hp
