Stock motor 07 GSXR 1000 limits? Turbo

Turbo kit, good fuel, stock motor. When should we stop turning it up? 250hp?

250 seems to be the number ive heard of a few people making 280 but its a time bomb then.

IMHO I would not go past that on a "bone stock" motor. I am sure that there will be some to come into your thread and boast about how much power that they are making on a stock motor,or how much boost that they are running on the stock rods but it's like the Skydiver that is boasting about how close to the ground he gets before opening his chute. Sooner or later there's a smackdown coming and it's gonna be messy when it arrives.

Sooner or later with any motor combo there will be a boom. I think the majority of Blowups dont have a fat saftly margin like E-Racer said.

Lean is mean!!../Coulda made a few More HP but said I don't want to push it..lots of 1/4 passes and street miles and still runs a number straight off the trailer!!..

Just dont lock the throttle open&hold it there too long or shit will melt no matter how good your tune is. Another major factor is how many miles are on your stock engine when you decide to add all that boost to it. Some people get away with making 250rwhp on a bone stock engine but that is the exception rather then the norm. Be careful....

Ive made 410whp with a stock bottom end and BOB head and cam, 05-06 1000, with a gt28bb, c16 on microtch

Mine made very high 270+ HP no issues on a stock motor. Completely stock motor

ive been at 270 before with .60 thou head gasket, 2005 motor. ive always heard the 07 08 stock rods and pistons are stronger.

Chrom moly rods..i think its the ti valves you have to worry about..

The valves are a problem for sure but the rods can b also. 225 is the safe long life number but u can run 250ish for a while just make sure the tune is good and it don't spark knock on u. Most commonly over 225 they come apart. If it was built on a Friday at suzuki your bike might have a little more care put into it so it might take more lol. Be careful use good gas and get a real good tune no matter what u do.

Hell yea..some said mine was goin blow up first pass!!...and three years later still running strong..knock on wood!!

I run c-16 also to be safer even though pump gas would be fine..
