Takai Super coils

This is a discussion about Takai Super coils within the Tuning Performance section, where you will Engine mods-Tuning talk for all Sport Bikes Every little bit helps!; has anyone used them? they make some pretty stiff claims. (like 25% greater spark output just bolting them on) and the engineer says the higher quality will allow more voltage and or dwell before saturation.

yea i looked into them, they do make a steep claim about h.p. numbers and what not, but i changed my mind when i saw the price tag. i would have been willing to try them if they were like 50 a peice, but 750, ill pass.

a guy i know who road races has them. not dyno before and after but he says the bike is noticably smoother through the throttle range, but id like to see a dyno comparisson. if i only had a dyno.

if they work as advertised.. then they could be VERY beneficial. no need to buy a sim, or put on a dynatek/firestor/etc. with the compression im trying to run, and nitrous on top, i have a feeling im gonna need an upgrade. ive done some digging and it seems that quite a few MX and ATV guys use them.. but i havent found enough to make me want to drop 750.
