high idle in 5th and 6th gear

i have a 2000 suzuki hayabusa and i noticed that when im slowing down or at a stop with the bike in 5th or 6th gear it idles around 2000rpm and won't drop until i put in 4th gear or lower 5th and 6th it idles high what would cause this.

I can honestly say I have never come to stop in 5th or 6th gear. Why dont you downshift on decel?

It might be something going crazy with the gear position sensor causing the ecu freak out or something...I would switch ecu's to see if it still does it and then switch gear position sensor after that..
