buildin my 06 zx10's motor, wanted to switch to a racing fuel and was thinking about methanol...what do you guys like running?

going to methanol is a BIG step. if you dont have any experience with it, do lots of research. to start, you'll need roughly twice the fuel system (and alky specific parts), and it needs to be cleaned out every time you run the bike. i've never done it on a bike, but i'd imagine you'll need to beef up your ignition system as well. also plan to do oil changes very often.

their are TONS of benefits to running meth, but make sure you're prepared for it.

JSpin is right on everything he said. If you're looking for a decent increase and not have to clean it out everytime look into E85. If you're talking only on trips to the track check out some of the oxygenated fuels. If you were to build your fuel system to run methanol, it would not be very easy to switch back and forth to gasoline for street riding.

my bike is tack only, but having to clean my fuel system out after every run seems like itd be more of a pain than itd be worth but not that bad. what all do i need to change in my fuel system/ignition for meth?

i was told e85 doesnt really give any power increases, is it worth running?
