What is done to this bike as far as A/F goes? Sounds like #2 and #3 are running lean to generate that kinda heat.

from my experience, extremely retarded ignition timing can make exhaust manifolds glow red. whats really happening is your spark is happening real late which means your air/fuel mixture is still burning as its going out the exhaust valve and into the exhaust manifold/system.

it's dangerous, and you're losing HP.... fix it.

Thanks guys. I thought it had something to do with the A/F mixture. It done it once before. Took it back to the mechanic and nothing was found wrong. Dyno showed good A/F ratio. Still lost!

Cams could be a little off... Something to look at. That could cause it to scavage in the pipe.

I know when you change to 2 short stacks on 2&3 on a Busa it will cause them cylinders to be a hair off because the ECU is set up for the long stacks.
