Default Major Issue Wit My Bike Need Help

    Hey Guys,

I have a major issue, for some reason as I am running the bike down the track as the rpms are shooting up they drop back off even though my hand is pined down on the throttle and it does it randomly n then for some reason it jumps back up there like it was in the beginning . Idk has anybody heard or know why the bike is responding like this.

A Note: as I'm riding the bike on the street it runs like a champ and from a roll but when I run it from a dead n stop and have the bike tacked up the problem accures through the mid to high gears.

Is your clutch slipping? Can you whack the throttle while your rolling along in 3rd or 4th and the bike pull or rpms rev up?

No the clutch is not slipping and the strange thing is that when I looked at my power commander the high was jammed in the box idk if that has something to do with it. But it doesn't happen in shifts it happens as the rpms are shooting up, n then drop off n out of now where the rpms and the bike responds back to were they were idk man its puzzling n odd

i had same problem, turned out my was my fuel line was getting crimped when i lowered the gas tank. fuel demand on the street wasn't as much as when racing, so it was crimping only enough to cause the dieing on the track and not on the street. so maybe look through the crack under your fuel tank and make sure fuel line isnt kinking.

sounds like a loss of fuel to me though, maybe unplug power to power commander and run the bike, if problem goes away then its your power commander.

Either pump is going bad or the filter is clogged but it sounds like the pump might be going bad

Is the engine actually changing speed or is the tach needle moving around?
If the engine is rapidly ravving and then being drawn back down, it is a mechanical issue, likely with the clutch, the transmission popping out of gear, or the chain skipping. The engine is not going to jump up in the RPM and then back down quickly when it is loaded unless you are spraying it or something.

If it is the tach needle moving around, the problem is most likely an electrical problem and the ECU is losing power for some reason, possibly the kickstand vibrating and making the kickstand switch kill the engine momentarily.
