Default High Power Grudge Bikes Use T.R.E?

    Hey Guys,

I was just wondering I have a timing retarted eliminator on my Gen 1 busa but I just wanted to know when you get to pushing a lot of power is there a point for a tre? Do high power bikes use them or any other form for one. Or is it really just going to end up being a small space in my garage as my setup advances? I'm gaining a lot more information and knowledge on the electronics needed for a grudge bike and what's not even neccesary. I was just wondering can anybody give me a lil information on weather in the long run of my setups will it be a waste of money?

Thanks any advice or information appreciated?

You can ditch that and just get rid of it use a ecu editor program nowadays.

Exactly. Your going to end up with a completely custom timing map for maximum power and ride-ability.

@johnny-- Timing Retard Eliminator. It restored the timing that was pulled from the factory timing map in your lower gears to help "save" the rider.

It kinda flips the brain of the bike always making the bike think that its in a lower gear.

If you're not tuning ignition timing, you're not making big power.

You might want to post this same question in the Busa section and also ask them guys what how they are editing there ecu.

Actually the TRE tricks the bike into thinking it's always in 5th gear.

The simple answer to your question is do not waste your money on a TRE, ever. I would be happy to give you pointers on the ECU editing but apparently that's against the site rules, so I cant help you there unfortunately.

I was't trying to be an a**hole, just pointing it out. I have only been on this site a short while and a lot of times don't have the knowledge to contribute what other guys can, but even in that short time on here, if you pay attention, it's pretty easy to figure out who know's their stuff and who is full of hot air.
