Sidewinder Advise!?!

Looking Advise

I have a Stock Gsx-r 1000 with some Bolt Parts i was Wondering if i can Run a Sidewinder On a Sock Motor and if i could which 1 would the Best to Use, and Right Now i have On a Full Brocks A.Head System

You can run it with a stock motor. You may lose just alittle down low. Just keep the baffle in it.

I switched from an alien head to a Murray sidewinder on a stock motor Busa and ran the same times. Didn't seem to lose any power.

Ok just asking cause i have a Full Brocks A.Head On My Stock Gsxr Motor so i want to Go Brocks Sudewinder On My 1000

You will prolly make some power with the Brocks tho..Are you going with the sidewinder to get lower ??

I've heard with the gsxr 1k's you don't seem to lose HP goin to a sw from a a.head/short meg. I personally lost some on my 10 goin from a Muzzy m10 to my Brock's sw.

Never dyno'd my stock motor 2005 but put a tsukigi on it with no regrets. I too was worried about losing power. I also run the baffle.

Depends on the tune also..i didnt go any faster after installing my brocks sidewinder on my stock motored 07 GSXR1000 but wanted to get it low and if you ever plan on doin motor work ect you will already have a good pipe.I did take the baffle out one day and it went alotnfaster MPH in the 1/8 and 1/4..

Ok so i Guess it Depends On Your Tune that Your Running cause every1 say's Keep the Baffle in and You Run with Out it and went a Lot Faster i think am a get a Brock's Sidewinder Doh and am Trying to Sale My A.Head to Buy so i ain't even ina Rush Right Now

yes its best to get it tune an i wld keep the baffle to keep the back pressure due to it being a stock motor setup.thats another person setup and not yours. what works for some doesnt always mean it will work for you.. the alien head should make good power with ur setup right now so play with that an see what works for you, may even be better off with alienhead than the SW in regards to constant power thru the powerband.im pretty sure Brocks has a custom map for your setup, jus have to register on the sire to get it..

My bike had alot of fuel and I thought it would help..Went 126 in the 1/8 156 mph in the 1/4 and never went MPH like that before..although it was a good day and the weather was perfect..try it in and out nothing to lose!!
