Don't understand the philosophy of shoes getting you lower. I've been wearing wrestling shoes for almost 3years. Had a engine failure and raw burning fuel was coming out the exhaust. Burned those wrestling shoes up pretty good. If it wasn't for the dickies work socks it would have been bad. I need shoes now. The wrestling shoes look good, you can get them in any color and they feel pretty dam good. But..... You don't want to take a fall with wrestling shoes. You could loose your feet.

Its hard for me to find nice, comfortable boots in my size. Most makers only sell up to a Sz13.
Try the Joe Rocket boots. They have nice ones around $80. Hope your feet ain't bigger than Sz13 though.

I'm with J, what you mean get lower with shoes.......as far as launching, the only time shoe height would matter if you stand up, is the only time sole height would matter. Protection has to be a thought with any motorcycle gear choice

hey guys, someone asked about how the shoes made a diff with height, it does help with launching, i have an 08 r1 and with normal boots, it puts me up higher, harder to tuck..and when my feet are on the pegs, gives me less room also with boots... im ordering my air shifter, so that should also help without having to hurry and lift to shift 2nd. bates fast lanes are 250$ just in case anybody's wondering, plus the wait when u order them

Bates would be the best choice but the price may not be in everyones budget....plus theres a wait for them just like the leathers. This is a good second choice. You cant beat them for 50 bucks
