wether you think it is a good deal or not, with 100 miles or 1 million miles , simple fact is no air filter inside the airbox means dust or dirt will be raping the $hit out of your investment(YOUR BIKE) period.take 2 of the same engines with the same abuse & miles with only 1 difference,1 with a airfilter & 1 without a air filter.which of the 2 will show f-up piston rings & cylinder bores?you do not have to be Einstein to know the correct answer to this one.but hey, it your $hit & you can destroy it any way you want to. sooner or later yours & your friend's motorcycle will be keeping some motorcycle mechanic in phenix city,AL very happy.

I agree leave the filter in I run a BMC race filter with the billets short stacks and I clean the oil out of the filter for track use but I resprayed it for street use just my lil thing now if it worked or not who knows I can't really say if I picked up anything or not.
