Re: '08 busa butterfly removal
The only real down side is tha it will cause your bike to run a little leaner . For some reason the top injectors spray directly into the butterflies which causes a richer mixture . The bike wont run dangerously lean

Re: '08 busa butterfly removal
I took the injectors off for cleaning and I saw that the top butterfly were taken out and I was never told about this. I bought this bike brand new and it was prepped by MSP with just basic stuff, lowered front-strapped and back, air shifter, gearing 16-45, 64" bolt ons and what I was told is that the fuel pressure regulator in the tank was modified for a little more fuel pressure. The bike dynoed at 198 HP with MR9 in Valdosta last year. Jeremy Teasley went 8.78 on his first ever pass on that bike. Up to now it has not given or shown any problems. The best pass ever for me down here was a 9.03 with a 1.45 60'.
I was just wondering if it has any significant gains.

thats the same number jt ran on my buddys 64 inch busa last year with flys and all. 158mph in 105 degree weather at mir hot and humid as hell.
I took mine out and the bike just wasn't right. I think the top flies work as a choke because my bike wouldn't start good without em
