I take the stock vinyl cover off, then shave the foam down with a grinder. Sounds funny, but it works better than anything else I have tried and the round blade helps get that nice saddle shape that hold ya in there. Then staple the cover back on if you are handy with stuff like that or take it to the nearest re-upholstery shop and have them do it right.
...Just a fella enjoying all God's blessings!

I used a fillet knife like you fillet fish with or cut up a ham... Works great. You can get them at w mart or target for like 15 bux. A regular knife wont work lol.....

a hacksaw will cut a perfect curve on the top, then shave each side with it, finish it up with a grinder.

I used a Combination of what Bobby said and a Electric Carving Knife(Yup, the same thing you'd use at Turkey Day Dinner....just dont tell the Mis'ez
). I used the Knife to get most of the meat(Foam)off the seat & the shape I wanted. Then I used a 90* Die Grinder with a Scotch Brite Pad on it(you can get these at like harbor freight or maybe even Napa)to sand foam down to get it smooth and finish the shaping.

x2 with the electric knife and grinder....I also went to Hobby-Lobby,they sell leather trimmings in a bag for $20.00 in many colors that are plenty big enough to cover your seat, they let me open the bag to make sure before I paided.

Especially if you are shorty like me. I see Kawasaki is now offering special seats that are and inch higher or lower than stock but maintain the stock shape. Funny how the factory copies after market. Too bad the factory Kaw see is like 400 bucks!
