Busa Oil Pressure Reading
I installed a autometer oil pressure gauge on my busa. Line runs from the bottom rt. side oil galley. Motor has high volume gear. Started last night and got 120psi at start and more when revved. Sounds too high? Could it be air in the line to the meter. Any suggestions?

That is normal, once the oil heats up the oil pressure will drop. Dont rev the bike until the oil pressure has dropped. If you dont you can blow the o-ring out of the oil filter.

Re: Busa Oil Pressure Reading
opened up the galleys, soldered spigots, and opened main journals, lots-o-grinding, looked good but havent had it out yet. Didnt mind the money for extra oil where it counts!

Re: Busa Oil Pressure Reading
To back you up i've also got a pressure guage on mine. If its cold out it takes some time to warm up. (15 mins)
I usually leave my driveway when the pressure is below 40 at idle. But dont rhomp on it for some time. Ive seen temps as high as 250 with pressures as low as 1. Yes 1..
I've also discovered when your compression is low the oil pressure starts low and can give you a false sense of security. Another little thing to keep an eye on.

Re: Busa Oil Pressure Reading
I meant low compression as in busted rings or piston. Not lowered comp.
