If it's stock those are great times. MPH is also way up there for stock. What do you weigh and what's the raceweight?
2009 Black and CF ZX14
2005 Turbo Busa
2001 GSXR 1000
Looking for a GS1150E
Its 7" over right now. It's stock as in stock motor and it was on pump fuel. It wasnt me on it. It was someone much lighter then me and gets paid to do it. I just wanted to get an idea of what the bike was good for. My personal best is 9.42 at 144. I need to really improve my 330. It's getting a 10" over this winter and I'm going to go up 1 more on the rear sprocket.
so what is the difference in driver weight?
Could be 50lbs
Wheelbase is handy. My pump gas, stock motor, stock wheel base street bike has been 9.39 with me on it (150lbs). I'd like to add some arm, but I love tossing my bike around in the turns a little too much.
Sidewinder or street pipe? Just curious.
Gen 1 or 2 busa?
I think you would really like it if you added a few inches. You would be surprised how well it still takes the turns and stays planted so much better in a straight line. I rode a gen 1 for about 8 Years at swb and stock ride height. And I thought the bike handled amazing and was a lot of fun. That is until I got my gen 2. I put a few miles on it stock and completely hated the bike. I thought it was very sloppy. I started out adding 4" inches and lowered it. That feeling I got when I took the bike down the road got me hooked! I nailed it in first and second and that thing just squatted and was gone. Then I went to 7" extension blocks. Now I'm waiting on my mcintosh 10" over extended tail and I'm drag racing as much as I can. I don't even ride on the street anymore!
It's a gen 2. Stretched, slammed, alien head, switching to side winder, Brock's clutch mod and cushion, I took the tre out, pcv with Brock's maps, 1 down in the front and 46 in the rear, going up to 47, non Oring chain, and the Michelin drag tire. Stock shock and it hooks like crazy. Capo laid down the 9.18 and the tire hooked like glue. It's got more in it, his 60' could of been a little better. But he such a good jockey.
Little shot of juice would put it in the 8's.....
How long is the bike? Do you happen to know what the DA was? What was the 60'?
