busa wont shift past first....

hey guys i need help or a lil comfort on this...im scared my bike is messed up....its a new motor and the only thing ive done to it so far is break in heat cycles....i havent even rode it yet but today i was gonna try and ride it and it wouldnt shif past neutral.....i wondering what all could be causing this and all help and advise would be great.....

do you have to spit the cases to fix this

check your shift star.....maybe the lever is off......you gotta take the cover off behind the shifter lever.......if you are not sure let someone that knows...not complicated but you gotta put it together right.

yes, pull motor, flip upside down, split cases to get to tranny

if you have an air shifter on it make sure the ram isnt keeping it from shifting

+1 on that! Check linkage to the shifter before you go tearing into it. A little off one way or another goes a long way. If it shifts fine from 1 to neutral and back to one I'd say you're binding linkage somehow.

well i just split the cases and the shift fork was worn down gonna replace it and hand shift it to see if it works.....
