Bored TB's

Is there much to gain on bored TB's (Gen1)?
I imagine it depends on what motor you have. But let's say on a 1397 14:5, CNC stage2 and 425/415 cams.

I would ask CNC, they'd know the flow characteristics of their port/combo.

One of my friends bored his throttle bodies on his 1397 motor back in 2004 and it did not change anything.

It depends on who did and how it was done...big difference....i remember when i tested mine.....back to back pulls on dyno...swapping tb's.....but hey...only my opinion......

Sounds inflated to me. I've never seen more than 2-4hp on bored tb on the dyno.

CNC claims as much as 7hp gain on stock motor zx14...and as much as 12hp on a built motor with a good head..atleast that is what ive read..Maybe jim will chime in with more info

On 1397 u probly won't see any gain but on a big motor yes they will help
