Air shift solenoid leaking issue!!!
Ok, I have a Co2 autoshifter set up on my 1k, and I love it. But last year I spun the bottle on and was getting ready to make a pass and I heard my solenoid leaking through the exhaust, WTF! Needless to say, foot shifting for me. Well I just put a shifter on my busa yesterday, and after I spun the bottle on and tried the shifter out I heard it leaking at the solenoid again. I pulled the tank and it's coming through the exhaust port on the solenoid, which is what my 1 k did also. I'm running a 9oz Co2 bottle with a 140lb regulator. If you make an upshift, it will leak afterwards for a few seconds, then get quiet (usually). I also shot a lil air tool oil thru the line, hoping it was just a dry seal, but it didnt seem to make a difference. Is this common, or am I getting a bad string of solenoids? I am using the same regulator on this bike til I get another one, could it be my problem? It's not pouring out of the solenoid, just a light leak but none the less. Any help is appreciated!

Re: Air shift solenoid leaking issue!!!
you are getting trash in the line...and shooting oil in the line is and will ruin the seal over time...
mainly it is trash....form the filling of the bottle or entering the line.
at this point you will need a soleniod....if it is still leaking we sell them and tell everyone that make sure they k3eep the lines clean and trash out...

Re: Air shift solenoid leaking issue!!!
Wow, that suck big time. THis solenoid was new out of the bag when I put it on the bike. As for the bottle, I cleaned the valve off before screwing it on. I never realized they were that particular... Thanks for the info and direction!

Before you do that, try adjusting the solenoid. The black plastic at the bottom is adjustable.

Re: Air shift solenoid leaking issue!!!
i went through 7 of them before i found the problem. i had air in the arm and was using nitrogen. blew tank out with nitrogen numerous times and it still kept happening. moved the air line from the bottom of the arm to the top and havent had a problem since.

Re: Air shift solenoid leaking issue!!!
You have dirt inside of it you can unscew the black plug but count how many turns it take to come out so it goes back to the same position. clean it you may have to adjust it either way to get it right .
