Re: ? on flat oil pans
yep, they're fine for the street, all though many exhaust systems do not fit with the billet pans.

Re: ? on flat oil pans
if you put a low pan on and you used to run 4 qts, you should still run 4 qts. u want to same quanity, dont go by the sight glass, and im not the only one who would agree to this. and yes you may have issues with the stock exhaust, becuase the billet pan is primarily for a sidewinder. notice how the stock ehaust kinda wraps around the sump. The sump in the stock pan is there just because of how long the pick up is, and possibly the oil drain tube. the billet pans have the swinging pick ups but just make sure you cut the drain tube if you have one in your motor, or you'll fill the top drain the bottom and wonder why your motor blew due to lack of oil
elbow up, rudder down. . .

so the flat oil pan hangs in between the lowest and the highest point of a stock pan?

Re: ? on flat oil pans
not quite the easiest way to describe it would be look at your motor where the original pan attaches to it, picture that 1, 1.5, or 2 inches lower, flat across. And i meant in my other reply, go by the sight glass not dont go by the sight glass, my bad.
