This is a discussion about injectors within the StreetBike-DragBike section, where you will Suzuki, Kawaski, Honda, Yamaha A forum for Streetbike and Dragbike discussions; i have a 07 zx6r that i turboed and want to know if the injectors on the top rail are your main and the bottom the secondaries

    top is secondary, they should come in about 8k rpm under load

    ahh ok, yeah cuz all im running is the bottom ones as zx14 injectors, and custom plenum on top with nothing and bogging really bad with trying to mash on it just hits a wall. Im thinking of putting the stock injector back at the bottom and the zx14 injectors at the top, it has been hard to tune. thank you streetdrag, have other people has this problem

    If you have just removed a set of injectors and didn't modify the ECU to compensate, you will be beating your head against the wall trying to get it to run.

    What are you using for tuning and what type of fuel pump and pressure regulator?

    i have a fmu, aeromotive regulator, 255 walbro, pc3 with a ignition module to retard for the boost. but when i go to mash on the throttle it goes nowhere i have to ease on to it. im thinknig that having only 4 hooked up and the others just sitting there doing nothing is killing trying to tune. i figure since u told me the secondaries are the main, i will take my zx14 injectors from the bottom and put them on top, and stick the stock ones on the bottom

    What are you using to control the secondary injectors? Can you check the A/F ratio? is it running rich?

    at first nothing, i was just running the bottom ones, which are zx14 injectors, now i realize i need to run my stock injector on the bottom and the zx14 ones as my secondary on top. its not running rich. i was only running 4 injectors i think once i plug them in i might be able to tune it, i guess u have to run all 8 injectors for it to run right

    Do you have a box to control the secondary injectors? if you dont have some type of box to control the secondary injectors, then you could use 4 injectors. It would be a stage 1 turbo setup. It would be alot easier to tune.

    like i said before. i was only using only 4 injectors and didnt think i needed the top injectors so i plugged the top ones off so i wouldnt get a code, so i am welding onto my intake manifold those 4 and try to tune it that way. so i am going to take my zx14 injectors i had from the bottom and put them ontop and the stock injectors on the bottom and tune it that way. i tried to be different and just run 4, and was thinking that 4 of the injectors were to just start the bike and then the others would take over
