rear suspension help needed!!!

    Default rear suspension help needed!!!

    Hey guys, been racing for years with a full chromoly kz dragbike but recently sold that and bought a 09 zx14 to set up to race.... bike is completely stock for now, i have purchased a 8" over swing arm for it and now am just wondering what to do for rear suspension....Can i run stock with lowering links? or does anyone have any suggestions of what to run? Let me know... thanks

    How much do you weigh? Most likely the stock shock will not work good for you at that length,especially if your over 140lbs..At the least have the stock shock revalved for your weight and wheelbase,along with some fully adjustable lowering links to get it down low for you. I would also go with a flat suspension link if the funds are there.

    What does the flat link do for you? seems like everytime I see one in a post someone is complaining about how harsh it made the rear suspension feel.

    It does stiffen up the rear... just gains alot of ground clearance

    just learn how to adjust the stock shock. it will work at 8 over but wont be the BEST, until you can spend the $$ to buy a better one just adjust the stock one
