Default Who Interested In a BEADLOCK

    Hi Psychobike Members

As in another topic I had talked about looking into finding a company that would be interested in building a Beadlock rings for 17 inch motorcycle rear wheels. Will I email two companies the other day and that resulted in a phone call today from one of those companies .We talked for a long time. After I get back from MIR/MIRock this weekend I will be sending this company a OEM wheel and a 190-50-17 tire for them to use to get ideas from and build the lightest but strongest beadlock rings.

If you would be interested in this thing I'm trying to make happen .Please post your relpy or questions.

Saftey and getting in the 6's is what my goal is.

to have a beadlock put on a aluminum wheel is about 1 grand with shipping and all. It cannot be done on carbon fiber or magnesium wheels.

Sebs right, The only way it could be done on a CF wheel is a complete new design. No way of adding it. Same with Mag, it has to be done in the mold process which means new molds that incorporate the beadlock system. Oh, Looks cost money and add weight, including the weight of adding the mounting ring.

I appreciate your opinion .The company I am talking to will be working on a lite aluminum beadlock for the OEM and aluminum brand wheels. They are also prototyping a carbon fiber beadlock for the carbon fiber wheel.

Price and shipping will not be 1 grand.Looking to keep it around 600.00.

Seb are you interested in one.

The beadlocks we offer for aluminum wheels are 1000 with shipping and all . How are you going to attach a beadlock ring to a carbon wheel? Dont think so..this would have to be done in the mold and then put in the clave. Its easy on aluminum...the lips are cut off and then the beadlock rings are welded on. These are the same beadlocks that have been used since the streetbike shootout days.
