I know of a bst rim that lost a m/t at 10 psi...just because it's not reported on these boards does not mean that it hadn't happened and that it's not gonna happen again...it also depends on the rim and how it's made..some manufacturers put a bigger lip that the bead has to get over before it can break away and loose air..the stock oem wheels have a pronounce "lip" where some of the aftermarket wheels are not so pronounced..

So many people are monkey see/monkey do that they don't use common sense to figure out what's best for them...I see it all the time on this site when people ask what psi they should run in their tire..there is no set answer to that question..there are guys on this site right now that have 8-10 psi in there tires and have not tried anything over 10 psi..why, because someone told them that it works best at 10 psi and there is no need to go over 10..well if you never try it over 10 and try to tune it over 10, I guess it will never work over 10 psi..8-10 psi is way to low a tire pressure for a non bead locked wheel..

if it were an isolated incident that happened thats one thing but your talking about 3 times within a couple weeks. how many years has the mickey been around how many prostreet bikes have run it without issue. if i read about 3 similar bikes as mine haveing this type of failure in a short period of time and i choose to run this tire the next week to me thats foolish. this board used to be about sharing information not pimping products. im glad someone brought this to our attention

I will say this about the Power One to my knowledge it has never came off a rim.The Pro-Street bikes that I work with run from 9psi to 18psi.I've seen them slip on the rim up to 3 inches at one time. Now these are pst bike that pull 1.19 60 foots.

But first and for most i'm glad E is ok.We have chatted about her run.

Every tire will move on the rim .Some

    Look at it like this..

Look at the bead on a OEM rim then look at the bead on aftermarket wheels...They are all different and none are like the OEM rims. The OEM wheel bead is not flat ( But some aftermaket wheels bead is flat ] ....

When I mount a tire on the rim i use windex window cleaner.I put 40psi in tire and tell the peson picking up the wheel that i put this psi in the tire to help it seat the tire to the rim.And I also tell them to set the psi they run in their in the staging lanes.

Now on the Power One the one thing I hate is that anybody can sell this tire plus the internet site. They are giving the wrong info on psi the burn out time with this tire.

I got hammered in pm'z and public blast for just saying Michelin to Tom here .So this will be my last post on this topic.

If you want to talk about tires.Start a new topic that i can VIEW AND REPLY TO.Because I cant reply to FT.Cambells topic for some reason .But i'm glad He hitme up by email and i hope my help got them going .

    Peace Richie...

PS. E , Thank for understanding and you need my help just email me again.

well...it might be slightly illegal, but ive had a hook up at over 168 mph, not on the track and it was def longer than 7 seconds...put the right amount of air in them, let the suspension do its job and you wont have a problem..

It amazes me how some people are willing to turn a blind eye to a BIG problem and knowingly put themselves, their family, and/or their jockeys in danger.

Im not sure if he did or not but it does'nt matter. Even with a tip over switch when the bike rites itself back onto the tires it will fire itself backup again and keep going

My buddy went down at over 100 and the bike slide up against the concrete barrier and got back onto its tires and fired itself up again and took off. It was riding by itself for 3 miles before a truck driver intentionally hit it to knock it over again. And that was a bone stock 1000.

i am sure you meant this towards the riders, but really it was promoted for s/st and p/st track tested to compete with the m/t tire. trust in products is the issue, not the common sense you refer to in the posts.

I would not be so quick as to say anyone has turned a blind eye on the issue. Just because we haven't seen or heard anything here doesn't mean things aren't happening. Does anyone know what the pressure in that tire was at the time of the incident? It's funny that when I am at the track I see guys spin the tire and the first thing they do is lower the air pressure to compensate. I wouldn't be so quick to pass judgement without knowing the real facts. It's hard enough to get support for this sport but jumping to conclusions and voicing assumptions hurts it even more. Just my 2 pennies.

Question do you think bead locks should be standard for Pro-St-bikes. And also at what point will the stock chassis be a weak point on these bikes (IE) chassis failer, from welding and any other frame mods.
