Rode the BMW S1000RR :)

This is a discussion about Rode the BMW S1000RR :) within the Staging Lanes section, where you will It All Starts Here! Bench Racing with Drag Race Discussion; My buddy just got one with all the factory options and I took it for a rip. It has a built in rev limiter at 9000rpm for the engine break in which is kinda cool.

My buddy just got one with all the factory options and I took it for a rip. It has a built in rev limiter at 9000rpm for the engine break in which is kinda cool. Let me say that it feels as light as a 600 but pulls like a raped ape! Brakes are phenomenal as is the slipper clutch, traction control, ABS, and electronic quick shifter. Full throttle upshifting is butter smooth. I tried it on all the power modes and the RACE mode pulls like a built GSX-R1000 motor. BMW did their homework on this one and it's gonna be a lethal threat to the competition!!

I took a dealer demo out the other day. I thought this one didnt have the limiter since it was past 600 miles. I got out and hit it in second and i felt like i hit the brakes, i thought it was the wheelie control and thought it was kinda violent. Then after a few pulls realized it still had the limiter on it, and the wheelie control is very soft and kinda cool. I wish i could have had full rpms, but man it sure felt like a great bike from power to handling !!
