Competition bikes at "street" events at track?
Alright so at the dragstrip I go to tuesdays there is a "Quick Streetbike Shootout" series on tuesdays. I used to participate in this when I raced cars 4-5 years ago and it was real fun because it was literally streetcars, the fastest cars were in the 10 second range and could have all been driven to the track, people would bitch about cars with gutted interiors back then participating or with transbrakes. Now they allow basically all out drag cars that run 7's at 180... kinda killed the fun for the streetcar drivers... I mean honestly, these cars are not streetable, used to be that you had to drive them to the track.. no ones driving these to the track...
Now the bikes...
No offense to Quicktime Motorsports, these guys are awesome, and have some bad ass bikes, hell, Rudy even bought the motor out of my old busa from me. But, the sore loser I am just hates that the competition is out of reach for 80% of the bikes that still attend. Last year was basically fair because of the bikes they brought they were both RST bikes... they pretty much dominated every event but realistically it was fair... Low 8's, someone with a medium bike budget could compete. But this year they brought out not one but two PST bikes.. mid 7's already and we all know what PST bikes are capable of when dialed in...
This really kills it for the rest of us... Props to Quicktime for some sweet bikes but damn, at least only run one of them like what was said at thier debut... but these are a stretch to be considered "street bikes" at a "Quick STREETbike Series lol.
Anyone else have this going on at your local track?

No use even opening up that can of worms. It seems like im a yr bhind every yr. Just set goals for yourself. Dont worry about what others are doing. If your proud of the way your bike runs, that should be good enough. btw get a zx14 lol. I know where 1 is for sale.

Re: Competition bikes at "street" events at track?
Everyone know,s that quicktime is my family ,and yes they do have some fast sh-t, But they built them with there own hand,s and paid for them out of there own pocket,s. They are there every week running the event trying to better themselves, so to get better what do every other competitor in the world do :PRACTICE: So if you feel that your not getting a fair chance ,step you game up to there level and beat them on the track. They run nitrous bikes as well,my boy bobo is a big boy and he,s is going faster every week, he want,s to race them because it make,s him a better racer< and now he,s in the 8,s. I guess you don,t want to race him nether. Just go and have some fun. That,s what it is all about at the end ,but if you fell that it,s not fair,oh well.

There has been some interest in a big-boy class. We got a stock motor, zx14 with spray we wanna try bobo with. The rider is 300lbs. We are waiting on a radiator. Should be interesting.
