U4.4 hows this fuel working has anyone dynoed it

This is a discussion about U4.4 hows this fuel working has anyone dynoed it within the Staging Lanes section, where you will It All Starts Here! Bench Racing with Drag Race Discussion; I am more interested in this fuel than the mr12 or mrx01 due to the price and that it is supposed to be a little easier on fuel systems. Is that true and how does

Default U4.4 hows this fuel working has anyone dynoed it

I am more interested in this fuel than the mr12 or mrx01 due to the price and that it is supposed to be a little easier on fuel systems. Is that true and how does this fuel perform on motor compared to say mrx01? Anyone dyno tested this fuel what did it gain over pump???? Any info would be great

no dyno readings yet but vp rep told me its very close in hp % increase as mrx01 would be at 1/2 of the price. I was hoping someone would post actual results in the last thread. Hopefully one of the tuners will chime in this time. Pafundi if I could ever get my nitrous system finished I would've posted results, but there's no since in tuning it twice so I chose to do it all in 1 session. As far as the butt dyno with no tuning it is working better than pump.

Yeah I'm pretty well set on running this fuel but it is always nice to see some dyno results just to be sure. Is this stuff real corrosive like the mr9?

4.4 is way better than pump, not even close to MR9/12.
Stock motor picked up 12hp with the 9 and 5hp with 4.4
I ran this in one of the stock motor ATAK bikes and it picked up almost a 10th and 4mph over pump gas(it was rich on pump gas though) .

That was the fuel they were using in Super Sport AMA before they switched to XXX.

U4.4 is a very good racefuel for a couple of reasons like it makes great hp. Fair price , and its not corrosive on the fuel system.
actually its my favorite "overall" vp race fuel.

I am thinking of trying some in my 09 busa. looking at it because of the price and octane. I run about 60hp shot on it. run premium pump just fine for motor, but want a little more octane for on the spray.
right now I dump a little sunoco 110 in it to get the octane up, but think it slows it down a little when not on the nitrous.

I would really like to try some mr12 just to see what it does NA, but man that stuff is expensive.

My stock motor 03 gen 1 busa made 170hp on 87oct and 180 on u4.4. I always drained it out of the tank after I used it.

I made one pass this last weekend without the spray. man my bike really slowed down with the sunoco supreme mixed in with the premium pump.
I am going to try u4.4 this next weekend. I will make several runs without nitrous to see what it runs on motor and to tune it for the u4.4. Then I will turn the nitrous back on and see how it does.

well I ran the u4.4 this last weekend. it ran alot better on motor then it did on the sunoco supreme. ran better on the u4.4 on nitrous also.
I don't have a weather station with me, but it seemed like the air was ok and not really hot out. it seems to run about the same as pump gas if not just a touch slower.
My timing is advanced about 4 degrees over stock with ecu editor and it seems to run well on 91 non ethanol pump. Those that have messed with u4.4 alot does it run better with more timing? it is 107 motor octane. I just havn't had the time to play with it more. runing 13.2 a/f ratio on motor. I had to add quite a bit of fuel to get it their. Havn't tried going fatter and see if it picks up. runs better at 13.2 then it did at 13.5-13.7 when it was lean. havn't tried playing with the timing.
it seems to run quite a bit better on nitrous. I was runing 11.7 a/f ratio. it was droping to 11.3 right before I shift. on the sunoco. 161-162mph. I got that straitened out and it is pretty much 12.0 strait across now. 1/8th mph came up alot and bumped the nitrous % up from 20-30% in first. now runing consistantly 164-165mph 1/4. 130-132 in the 1/8.
if I am runing strait vp u4.4 in it all the time can I run leaner like 12.7 a/f ratio and will it help? I have heard it both ways. some say 11.7-11.9 and some say 12.5-12.7. I guess I will keep leaning it to 12.5-12.7 and see what it does. runing about a 60hp shot and pulling 1 degree of timing in first and second. 2 degrees in 3-6th.
leaning it out really helped my 1/8th and helped the 1/4 a little. maybee play with leaning it first and second and maybee rich in 3-6th. I just keep playing with ecu editor and it keeps going a little faster and a little faster.
8.82 at 164.5 was best pass last weekend.
e.t. racing and made it to the finals and went .016 red. passes in order. 8.85, 8.84, 8.88, 8.83, 8.82.
going to lay off the nitrous next week and work on the sixtys before I turn the nitrous back on. only 1.53 sixtys. need to be in the 1.4's bad. all stock body work and 65" front straped, but can't lower the back much because of stock tail section.

Wow, that sounds like it's working great for you. I threw u4.4 in one weekend for a test n tune on a stock motor running on motor, and I didn't notice any difference. However, I don't think that means anything because I didn't change the map/dyno tune for it, etc. Sounds like it really helped you out though!

149mph on motor. I tried adding 2 degrees of timing and it slowed down to 144. pulled 2 degrees out from where I started and 149.5. pulled out one more degree and it didn't really change. consistant 149.5 mph. 5,500' corrected altitude day. it might of picked up just a little over pump on just motor. I will have to look at stock timing and see how much it is advanced over stock right now. one or two degrees advanced over stock I believe.
I didn't try leaning the a/f out on nitrous. consistant high 164 low 165mph. maybee try leaning out the a/f on nitrous next time.
    ran a 8.79 last weekend.

Definatly have to map for it. I was at 13.3 a/f. I added a little fuel in ecu editor before I ran it. it was still 13.6-13.7 a/f ratio. I got it back down to 13.3 now. going to fatten it up to 12.9 and see if it picks up or slows down.
