I woudl doubt it woul last more than 200-300 miles. No way will it last anywhere near 3000 miles. It is like an MCR2 adn not intended for the street.

What is it people are talking about then with the tire made bunch of passes and looks like new and the tire will last is that just for the track? So on the roads it will just get chewed up super fast then? Basically my question is can this tire be used for street riding as well as dragstrip useage for any reasonable length of time? If not then this tire wont work for my application/needs........

You need an ultrasoft rather than this hook up tire. It will not last for crap on the street.

Haha thats funny "more like 200-300 miles" wow that stinks this tire really seems to hook and have monster grip levels too bad its no good for the street.

I believe the new shinko was made to be better than the sticky Mickey. Some of the Prostreet guys complained about the life/cost of them.

i forgot to add the tire in Real Street was 2-3 tenths faster than the rest of the field...now whats that tell ya....?????

and yes the Shinko Drag Radial is a bit softer than the MCR2...

the problem with very soft compound tires likes this and the MCR2 is when use on the road...heat build up is what kills the life.......so when we talk about how much it hasn't worn when using on the track....it is because it doesn't have constant heat in it wearing the rubber away...

Yeah well there is a big difference between the 11 pound advertised weight and 13 pounds. I guess I will have to buy one and weigh it for myself. Say what you may, but 2 pounds rotational especially on the outside of the rim is huge!

i think the 11 pounds was the prototype tire and the 13 is the production tire.

the two pounds would be alot on a stock motor to 250 hp .but a big making 500hp should make much of a difference..i think..

11 pound was with my old scales...i also weighed the p1 on that set of scales same day...they are both with in 1/2 pound of each other... the tire weighs..12.6-12.85

bottom line is it works! IT HOOKS! and IT LAST! AND IT IS NOT EXPENSIVE TO GET ONE!

    Ritchie...
you make it sound like its a long time...lets get real here...duro the tires and you can see which one is softer compound.. the track was cold...i can go and get the tape of the burnouts and compare...we were streaming the race the whole weekend... burn outs dont concern me...longevity and duro readings at the line is what i look for...along with temps

when the clutch is figured out on this Real Street bike...everyone one gonna be crying like they were after the 2nd round of qualifying...

congrats on Rickey winning he was on his game....the work and foundation has been laid...it is now up to the racers to build the rest...and this will happen will this tire is out to all dealers on a mass scale...

that 2 pounds becomes over 40 pounds at 150mph and your trying to get that thing up to 200.

2 pounds is ALWAYS a big deal on any bike with any amount of horsepower. even top fuel cars worry about the weight of their big azz tires and those things make thousands of HP.
