This was in 1995 in Bowling green Kentucky, which was the race right after Atco were Chris williams came out of nowhere and set the record at 10.61.
Me and Bob Carpenter came up with the idea of slamming my 600 like a prostock bike, and when I unloaded it off the trailer in Bowling Green, the class went crazy saying I was too low, but the problem was nobody had thought about doing it first.
I broke the record in 3 times in 3 consecutive passes 10.57 off the trailer,10.53 and finally 10.51. Keith Dennis who literally owned the class by 2 tenths all year was frustrated this race.
10.66 was his fastest.
This was the 1st time the class had ever seen anyone go 1.5's 60ft.
I was droppin the HAMMER with 1.55's to 1.58's every run.

Needless to say,at the very next race(world finals).....THE WHOLE DAMN CLASS had SLAMMED THEIR BIKES!

The very next race(WORLD FINALS) in G-ville, everybody thought they were ready! The record I held at 10.51.
There were rumors that Orlando's Chris Williams had been going low 10.50's and an unheard of rumor of 10.49 which had me sweatin bullets.
So I decided to wait in qualifying for Chris to roll up and......this is what happened...........
