The coolest thing about this 1150 is that I had a dream of building one for this class and Danny Cable trusted me enough to just send me the money as I needed it and allowed me to have the motor built by whoever I wanted(Carpenter) and I set the chassis up myself, and Danny never saw it til I brought it to Indy in 1997

It is one thing to see somebody racing with Big Sponsership and say i like him or want to be like him.. It is another to watch how this person became that Big Star.. He has the same humble, trashing talking, back road racing as most of us.. Rickey is truely a legend in this sport for years to come..

I'm gonna say it. too. Rickey, you are an inspiration to myself and many others; and are a testament to perserverance in what you love paying off. I just spent over two hours watching, reading, and wishing I could've been there. I think it might be time for me to get off the computer, finish putting the world's nastiest stock motor 08 CBR 1000 back together, and get ready for this season. I feel special to have been allowed a glimpse into the past that made the man. Keep doin wut u do!

i'd love to see a good documentary about motorcycle underground street racing and grudge racing at the track from the racer's perspective. kind of like this thread. i'm fascinated by the different phases of a grudge race: trash talking, negotiation, more trash talking with a side of sandbagging, more negotiation, finally a race...then the excuses for losing, more trash talking, and the cycle continues. good stuff.
