I would like you to get answers from everyone since mine really can't be taken as non bios.

Since I'm here at Vance & Hines every day I can tell you what I know.

First let me start by saying that OUR PIPE IS THE ONLY PIPE THAT IS MADE HERE IN THE USA out of the one's you name. So if that means something to you just think about that !

We build the whole pipe from scratch. Including the collector, flanges, O2 plugs etc..... We take pride in our pipes and so do all our builders.

It works great with a 2 inch pan with the pan being the lowest part of the bike. It fits clean and doesn't run to close to some items. It also will allow you to use a stock filter and change it with out taking the pipe off.

I fell our quality is great. In the two years here selling them we have never got a complaint on QC of our sidewinders. It comes with every item needed to install it including oil bypass, O2 plugs or adapters.

As for power I will let everyone else tell you. I have had many shops tell me it made the same or more then other. I know it works!!!!

Also one other thing when buying a pipe or any product look at the sport of motorcycle drag racing and look at who supports it. I know when I buy something that is something to look at. I also see who pays contingency. Paying not just the Pro but also the Sportsmen racers.

I hope this info helps you and feel free to PM me or call for more info. Here is a pic of our merge collector just so you can see the weld.

They are all good, We run Brocks and will always run brocks from now on, If for no other reason just because of the support he gives every racer out there. He's always there to answer your questions.

Second we ran one of the exhaust you mention on our busa and it slowed down. The key to any exhaust is make sure you do a dyno and have a map set up after you change.

Their is a plan to make a version like that but as of right this min we are working on some of the newer systems getting ready for 2010.

If you did want one cutting is a option. We did dyno testing with a cut one and found it didn't affect the power at all. If someone wanted one I could look into what it would take to get a shortened one done. Their are very few bikes that run a 1 inch pan so the demand is not to high.

    Thanks

Tsukigi and V&H made the best Hp on our 02 1000 and yes we tried the others. The welds on these two pipe also look second to none. the welds and bends on the other sidewinders out there just don't compare to the Tsukigi and V&H.

Ed or any other dealers out there... do any of you have the primary lengths and tube diameters including step if applicable just for a comparison because one pipe may be better for a larger cc engine but may kill power on a small engine. What pipe makes better power is a very general question. The pipe that works best on 1500+ cc's probably wont make the best power on 1300. I will be in the market for a busa sidewinder soon myself and dont want to buy more than one.

Since the Tsukigi is a true 4 into 1 design the diameters and steps are not really comparable to a 4 into 2 into 1 design. Big motors like 4 into 1, like a prostock bike.

    To answer your question

We have done lot's of dyno work with our pipe on every size motor.

They work better on larger motors. It works really good on 1390 + motors. On a stock motor they are ok but not the best. They were not ment to work 100% on a stocker. We have people that have made more then you ever would think with it. So I know the pipe in almost every case is not the limit.

Our pipe is a 4-2-1. The main reason is overall average HP. A 4-2-1 will make more power in mid to almost peak.

A 4-1 will make less in the mid and more peak.

You will make more power on average from 8,000 to 11,000 with a 4-2-1 then you would with a 4-1.

All motors are not the same. Cam's, cam timing, ports, throttle body size all plays a into where the power will be also. Some pipes may work better then others on one motor. So it all depends. I know many people that are happy with ours. Thanks

Thanks Ed, thats what I was looking for. just threw it out there so that the thread starter realized just because one pipe works good for one guy it may not for the next(unless you get all the engine details) and like I said I will be looking for one soon also so I wanted to see if anyone had any data on how they worked on certain engine sizes. due to money I will need to start small on the engine but I dont mind giving up a little power for a while because engine wont be little for long. Thanks
